The more you fuel something, the stronger it grows.

The more you fuel something, the stronger it grows.

An emotion, a belief, judgment, hate, love.

As the Native American legend goes: We have two wolves in our heart, one of love and one of hate. Which wolf will win? The one you feed.

Pay attention to what you ruminate on. Pay attention to the beliefs you hold as fixed. Pay attention to the emotions that you nurture.

Mindfulness helps us be aware of and relate differently to experiences, as well as develop the capacities to control and direct our attention at will.

Don’t underestimate the power of not fueling an emotion, even if it doesn’t change much. Being able to notice and be aware of something without fueling it is a subtle but important shift in the brain.

Which wolf are you feeding?
