Online Mindfulness Retreat

Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

If there was ever a time to develop the skills of mindfulness and meditation, it’s now.

We’re all going through this global pandemic together.
It’s impossible to not be impacted by it in some way.
And many of us find ourselves needing support.

I’ve been listening to you all, and here’s what I’m hearing:

You want tools to manage stress and anxiety.
You want strategies to help with the worrying mind.
You need ways to help you deepen sleep.
You need space for grieving and letting go.
You’re trying to not fall back into old, negative habits.
You want to make sure you’re fueling your mind with positivity.
You need help finding new structure and routine.
You’re longing for connection.

I hear you. I’m with you.

To help meet these needs, I’m offering an online mindfulness retreat, June 5-7, 2020.

In this 3-day immersion, we’ll come together as a community of humans, connecting through presence, to explore how to train our minds and nurture our hearts for greater peace.

A retreat, as it’s classically attended, usually involves stepping out of your normal setting. This, however, is a unique opportunity because instead of retreating from your home, you’ll be retreating to your home.

So, we could think of this as retreating into your life.

We’re going to have set periods of time each day to come together, to practice, and to learn, and we will then go off into our lives of parenting, being in relationship, being single, dealing with triggers, sitting with our wonderful pets, and anything else we’re used to. Interspersing home life with periods of practice (in a supportive, retreat container) is a powerful opportunity to apply this work where it matters most: real life.

In addition to the learnings, insights, and breakthroughs that organically arise from the “pressure cooker” nature of a retreat, I will share daily teachings on a variety of different topics and practices, which will include:

  • The foundational principles of mindfulness and how to develop them
  • 8 Meditation practices to use for different moods or needs
  • The “3 Stages of Relaxation” and a map for experiencing them
  • 5 Tips for maintaining a mindful routine (especially amid COVID)
  • The key reason why we experience stress, and how to manage it
  • An exploration of how to be alone without being lonely
  • Practices for letting go, grieving, and healing
  • Everything you need to know to begin and sustain a meditation practice
  • And much more

I also want to make sure you have all the resources you need to feel supported after our retreat. So, in addition to 11.5 hours worth of teachings and practices, you’ll receive the following post-retreat gifts:

  • COVID-19 Self-Care Kit (meditations & practices)
  • 10-Day Deep Sleep Course
  • 31-Day Mindfulness & Positive Psychology Series
  • 7-Day Anti-Anxiety Coaching Series
  • 8-Page Mindfulness Starter Pack
  • 30-Minute Partner Meditation Practice (great for improving communication!)

The schedule for this retreat can be found below or to the side (depending on which device you’re viewing this on). We will meet on zoom. While the encouragement is to attend all sessions (the ones in bold), I understand that current circumstances may make that difficult. All sessions will be recorded and available shortly after. Please trust your intuition around how to best create this retreat experience for yourself.

I look forward to spending this time with you in presence, connection, and curiosity.

Warm wishes,
Cory
